Subject: We need help for MARINES...
US Marine Colonel Simcock, the commander of USMC Regimental Combat Team (RCT) 6 in Iraq, is asking for 6,000 positive emails to his Marines. That's one email for each Marine in his RCT command. COL Simcock is concerned about the effect of the negative barrage that those Marines are getting through the electronic media.

So far, they've only mustered 2,000 emails. That's a crying shame compared to the amount of crap I get daily in email. This is a legitimate request. It's not one of the "little Johnny wants to break the world's record in Christmas cards" situations. It takes only 30 seconds of your time.
If you're reading this email, then you can probably click on the address, type a few words, and then hit "send" to be all done. It doesn't have to be the Gettysburg Address.
Something as simple as "Hello, Marine. We thank you for what you're doing. You are in a noble task. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Best wishes & get home soon" is more than sufficient.

GRIM: Is there anything that you and your Marines need that we could send you?
COL. SIMCOCK: (Chuckles.) I'll tell you what, the one thing that all Marines want to know about -- and that includes me and everyone within Regimental Combat Team 6 -- we want to know that the American public are behind us. We believe that the actions that we're taking over here are very, very important to America. We're fighting a group of people that, if they could, would take away the freedoms that America enjoys. If anyone -- you know, just sit down, jot us -- throw us an e- mail, write us a letter, let us know that the American public are behind us. Because we watch the news just like everyone else. It's broadcast over here in our chow halls and the weight rooms, and we watch that stuff, and we're a little bit concerned sometimes that America really doesn't know what's going on over here, and we get sometimes concerns that the American public isn't behind us and doesn't see the importance of what's going on. So that's something I think that all Marines, soldiers and sailors would like to hear from back home, that in fact, yes , they think what we're doing over here is important and they are in fact behind us.

Who is the Seed of the Serpent? - The answer is one of the most important spiritual principles in the Kingdom of God.

This is a devotional email from Dr. Larry Ollison that will make everyone pause and think!
Who is the Seed of the Serpent? by Dr. Larry Ollison
Several years ago I was doing a Bible study on the Book of Genesis. Creation is a very interesting subject to teach. The Bible tells us that through the sin of one man, sin was brought into the world, and through the sacrifice of the Son of Man, sin was defeated. It’s interesting that when Adam sinned he blamed the woman but also blamed God because God gave her to him. When God asked the woman why she had done what she did, she blamed the serpent.
So in Genesis 3 we find where the Lord God spoke to the serpent. He said, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all cattle, and more than every beast of the field; on your belly you shall go, and you shall eat dust all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed” (Genesis 3:14-15).
You’ll notice that that the reference to the Seed of the woman is capitalized. That’s because it is understood that Jesus is the Seed. After I taught that the Seed of the woman was Jesus, a young girl asked me a very interesting question. The question was, “If Jesus is called the Seed of the woman because He is her descendant, then who is the seed of the serpent? Who is his descendant?”
The answer to this question is one of the most important spiritual principles in the Kingdom of God. I could spend days explaining the answer. But briefly, let me say this. In Mark chapter 4, Jesus tells the parable of a man who sows seed. Then, in verse 13 Jesus said that in order to understand any parable or to understand the mystery of the Kingdom of God and the principles on which it operates, you must understand the parable of the sower. He said that to the world it would be a mystery but to those who are on the inside it will be revealed. Then in verse 14 He begins to unveil the mystery of the Kingdom and how it operates. He said, “The sower sows the Word.”
If it is true that the Word is represented as seed, then we could say that the Seed of the woman is the Word of God. While it is also true that the Seed of the woman in Genesis 3:15 is referring to the person of Jesus, we find in John chapter 1 where it states clearly that Jesus is the Word.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. (John 1:1-3)
Then in verse 14 we find that the Word became flesh and dwelt among mankind. Jesus is definitely the Word and He was in the beginning with God.
The word enmity means hostility and contention. God said there would be enmity between the Seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent. There has been and there is a war taking place in the mind. That war is between the Word of God and the words of the serpent, between the Seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent.
The Bible tells us that when the seed (words) of the enemy is sown into our thought realm that we are to cast them down and reject them. But when the Seed (Word of God) is sown into our minds, that we are to meditate on it and receive it into our heart.
Jesus said that out of the abundance of our heart our mouth would speak. So if we meditate and receive the Word of God, we will speak the Word of God and that will activate the promises of God in our lives.
The war is everywhere – in the world, in the church, and in your mind. The words of the world continually are warring against the Word of God. You must choose which seed you will keep and what seed you will reject. The seed you nurture will grow and become strong in your heart. Out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak and you will harvest your words.

GOD NEVER CHANGES HIS WORD AND WILL - OUR WORDS AND WILL SHOULD NEVER CHANGE: WE HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE!
Greetings
when I received this one around the time I received a friend's email on God's will and words and our will and words I know that we need to chew on it until what we speak aligns with God's Word and Will and NOT 'the facts of life' we are living... this is the hardest thing that we can ever do... but is the will... our will that will decide to follow God or to let the devil keep kicking us from altar to post... OUR CHOICE TO MAKE!!!
So, here is another one on our words and the power of what we say outloud:
*** "Speak Life" by Dr. Larry Ollison
What you say is important. In fact, the words that come from your mouth today shape your world tomorrow. Your words can bring prosperity and health or they can bring poverty and death. According to the Bible, the words you speak can and will shape your life.
Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
It is true. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. What you say is important. In fact, what you say is so important that much of the Bible is devoted to teaching us what to say.
In the book of James in chapter 3, the Bible compares the tongue to the rudder of a large ship. Although a ship may be large and driven by fierce winds, it is turned by a very small rudder. This is the way the tongue is. It may be a small part of your body, but what you say with your mouth can enhance or destroy your life.
Most Christians have no idea how their words are affecting their lives. Words can either be words of faith – words that confirm the Word of God, or words of doubt – words that destroy faith. The choice is yours. Your mouth is connected to your head, not someone else’s. You have no one to blame for what you say other than yourself. Think of it this way. Your life and your death are in the power of your tongue.
Jesus said in Mark 11:23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.”
Jesus said to say to the mountain, “be cast into the sea.” He didn’t say think to the mountain. He didn’t say believe in your heart and that will be enough. He said to believe in your heart and say with your mouth and then you will see the mountain moved.
In Romans 10:9 the Bible says, “If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Notice it says that we are to confess Jesus with our mouth. It doesn’t say to think in our minds. It says to confess with your mouth, in other words, say with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
Think of your words as containers. When they are released from your mouth, they contain faith or they contain doubt.
Proverbs 6:2 says we are snared by the words of our mouth. This simply means that you are responsible for your words. You have a choice. With your words you can curse or you can bless.
You may ask, “Then what should I say?” The answer is speak words of faith. Speak words that align with the Word of God. Say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Say, “Jesus is Lord and Satan is defeated.” Say, “He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.” Quote the Word.
Remember, Proverbs 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
Some people say they can’t help what they say. That’s not true. You can control your words. The choice is yours. Will you speak words of faith or will you speak words of doubt?
Your life and your death are in the power of your tongue. Speak life.
