Thank you everyone for your prayers for married ministers (to another spouse in ministry or not) in the Church... as I received a news of a local church in Ashland, VA where the pastor announced that his wife is leaving the marriage - no reason given - but a pattern like when Dr. Charles Stanley's wife also left the marriage with no reason given and after reconciliation has been attempted by his wife: http://www.rapidnet.com/~jbeard/bdm/exposes/stanley/general.htm

WARNING ON ANOTHER CON EMAIL PRETENDING TO BE FROM IRS REFUNDTHAT IS TO GET YOUR MONEY!

I received this message from a pastor with a warning from the IRS on con emails to get your money. I visited http://truthorfiction.com and found this link warning that email on IRS refund NOT to be true: http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/i/irs-refund.htm

Here is the message from the pastor:

Dear friends,
I have been receiving emails for about 2 months now, claiming I have IRS tax refunds available and that I should email them to claim my refund to an email they provide. I recently visited the IRS site, and this is what I learned, and I figured I would pass it on, as this may be happening to others. Granted, I never responded to the emails, I just deleted them, but I think this is important information we should be aware of... Blessings.

The following information is taken from http://www.irs.gov

IRS Warns Taxpayers of New E-mail Scams

Updated Aug. 24, 2007 — The Internal Revenue Service today warned taxpayers of a new phishing scam, in which an e-mail purporting to come from the IRS advises taxpayers they can receive $80 by filling out an online customer satisfaction survey. The IRS urges taxpayers to ignore this solicitation and not provide any requested information. The IRS does not initiate contact with taxpayers through e-mail.

Updated June 19, 2007 — In another recent scam, consumers have received a "Tax Avoidance Investigation" e-mail claiming to come from the IRS' "Fraud Department" in which the recipient is asked to complete an "investigation form," for which there is a link contained in the e-mail, because of possible fraud that the recipient committed. It is believed that clicking on the link may activate a Trojan Horse.

IR-2007-109, May 31, 2007

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today alerted taxpayers to the latest versions of an e-mail scam intended to fool people into believing they are under investigation by the agency’s Criminal Investigation division.

The e-mail purporting to be from IRS Criminal Investigation falsely states that the person is under a criminal probe for submitting a false tax return to the California Franchise Tax Board. The e-mail seeks to entice people to click on a link or open an attachment to learn more information about the complaint against them. The IRS warned people that the e-mail link and attachment is a Trojan Horse that can take over the person’s computer hard drive and allow someone to have remote access to the computer.

The IRS urged people not to click the link in the e-mail or open the attachment. Similar e-mail variations suggest a customer has filed a complaint against a company and the IRS can act as an arbitrator. The latest versions appear aimed at business taxpayers as well as individual taxpayers.

The IRS does not send out unsolicited e-mails or ask for detailed personal and financial information. Additionally, the IRS never asks people for the PIN numbers, passwords or similar secret access information for their credit card, bank or other financial accounts.

“Everyone should beware of these scam artists,” said Kevin M. Brown, Acting IRS Commissioner. “Always exercise caution when you receive unsolicited e-mails or e-mails from senders you don’t know.”

Recipients of questionable e-mails claiming to come from the IRS should not open any attachments or click on any links contained in the e-mails. Instead, they should forward the e-mails to: phishing@irs.gov (follow the instructions).

The IRS also sees other e-mail scams that involve tricking victims into revealing private personal and financial information over the Internet, a practice that is known as “phishing” for information.

The IRS and the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration work with the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) and various Internet service providers and international CERT teams to have the phishing sites taken offline as soon as they are reported.

Since the establishment of the mail box last year, the IRS has received more than 17,700 e-mails from taxpayers reporting more than 240 separate phishing incidents. To date, investigations by TIGTA have identified host sites in at least 27 different countries, as well as in the United States.

Other fraudulent e-mail scams try to entice taxpayers to click their way to a fake IRS Web site and ask for bank account numbers. Another widespread e-mail tells taxpayers the IRS is holding a refund (often $63.80) for them and seeks financial account information. Still another email claims the IRS’s ‘anti-fraud commission’ is investigating their tax returns.

SEVEN KEYS TO A LIFE OF PEACE!

Greetings,

Most of us get sidetracked at times in the day to day battle of staying focuses in Basic Bible Truths as we try to live as obedient children of our Heavenly Father following the example of our older brother that is also our God almighty and our personal Lord and Savior – the Lord Jesus Christ… so I am glad that the Lord put in our paths at the right moment His reminder to continue the walk without going off into tangents and without giving up:

Seven Keys to a Life of Peace by Larry Ollison, Ph.D.

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:1).

I understand that formulas and step plans are not always the answer to the problems we have in life. But sometimes they can define and illuminate issues. With that in mind, I’d like to give you seven keys to a life of peace.

1) You must know who you are
As a Christian you must know that you were made righteous at the moment you became a Christian and you must know that it was the blood of Jesus that cleansed you from all the unrighteousness in your life. Unless you know who you are, you are susceptible to the lies of Satan. He tries to confuse and make you think you are weak. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world."

2) You must know what the world is
You must be able to clearly define the difference between right and wrong. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 2:11 that we should not be ignorant of the devil’s devises. Otherwise, he could take advantage of us. John 10:10 clearly defines the source of good and evil.

3) You must know what your goal is
You must be consistent with your personality. You must be consistent with your vision. And you cannot waver as you head toward the calling that God has placed on your life. The only way you lose is if you give up.

4) You must not compromise your life
Compromise for the Christian is the kiss of death to your testimony. The world will sit quietly by as you do the work of the ministry, but will leap to their feet and point their fingers if you compromise.

5) You must always be in faith
Walking in faith will make you fearless. You must walk in victory and faith is the key.

6) Forgive and love
Faith will not work without love and love will not function without forgiveness. Forgiveness doesn’t mean compromise or condoning an evil act.

7) You must acknowledge what Jesus has done and rest in His work
In John 16:33 Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." Since Jesus has overcome the world, we can rest in peace with His victory.

PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED WHEN WE PRAY THE PROMISE, NOT THE PROCESS

Greetings,

here is a Bible study to help all of us to stay focus right:
Pray the Promise, Not the Process by Larry Ollison, Ph.D.

My background is a business background. Even though I was licensed and ordained as a Southern Baptist minister as a young man, in the decades since I have been involved in many business ventures. Everything from retail stores, marinas, manufacturing, banking, and even oil wells have played a part in my business life. Currently everything is going very well. Even though my life is consumed completely with ministry, I still have my thumb on the pulse of the business world.

Isaiah 48:17 says that God teaches His people to profit and He leads them in the proper direction. I have always believed this verse, but during my days in the business world many times I would pray the procedure instead of the promise. Here’s what I mean.

Many years ago I found myself in a devastating business situation. My back was against the wall and it looked like there was no way out. In fact, things looked so bad that I couldn’t even see how God could deliver me. I felt like I was locked in a room that didn’t even have a door.

When it looked like all was lost, seemingly out of nowhere a Christian businessman came along and offered a business deal that would completely bring me out of the financial pit I was in. The deal sounded good, it looked good, it felt good and I needed it. It was my only hope!

As a Christian I knew I needed to pray and I prayed daily that this business deal would go through because I saw it as my only way out. So I prayed day and night. Then all of a sudden the entire business deal collapsed. I cried out to God, “Why did you let this happen to me? I needed this business transaction.” In the silence, I finally listened to God. He spoke to my heart and said, “I didn’t block your deliverance. I saved you from destruction.”

Later the right deal came along and I was not only delivered from destruction, but also put into a better position financially than ever before. A few years later, I learned that the Christian businessman, who I thought was my salvation, was actually a crook who preyed on innocent Christians in their time of peril. God had blocked the destruction and made a way of deliverance.

We must pray God’s promises without telling Him how to fulfill them. He makes the promises and provides the process. Our responsibility is to believe in Him. Our trust must be in His promise without yielding to the fear and temptation to tell Him how to do His work.

For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

How do I know if it's God?

Greetings,

received this email today that helps in times of uncertainties of what is what... here is copy with Dr. Ollison's permission, may it be a blessing to you too:

How Do I Know If It's God? by Dr. Larry Ollison

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33)

As a pastor, I continually have people bringing problems and circumstances to me for counsel. Usually, after they have taken some time to explain the situation, they will give the solution that they feel they have for the problem. Then they look at me and say, “Is that what I am supposed to do? Do you think God gave me this answer? How can I know if I heard from God or could it be the devil trying to trick me?”

The answer here actually is quite simple. Follow peace. Over the years I have discovered that God always works through love, goodness, and peace.

When Loretta and I were first married, a man approached me about buying into an oil well. I was so excited. I had plans of being an oil tycoon. I read about oil. I studied about the oil industry. Only two things stood between me and the investment -- money and Loretta. Something didn’t seem right deep inside, but the mental thrill of being a millionaire overpowered me.

I sold my new Camaro and talked Loretta into allowing me to make this venture. In a few short months, the oil man left town with my money and I was faced with two major tasks. First, I had to swallow my pride and ask Loretta and God to forgive me. Secondly, I had to buy another car because I had no transportation.

All of this could have been resolved if I would have just allowed myself to have been led by the Spirit and followed peace. Instead, I was head-lead and ended up being a “lead head.” I learned my lesson.

So the next time you are wondering if something is God or not, ask yourself these questions. “Do I feel inner peace and I am I being led by the Spirit?” If you can answer these questions honestly, you have your answer.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

Feeling under attack lately? Rejoice when you are obedient to God... now fight the devil wiles!

Greetings,

I always say that why to invent the wheel... so instead of trying to compose my own message I am printing the message posted by a dear sister that is right on target on demonic attacks and how to defeat the devils purpose to make us give up and be ineffective in ministry...

Under attack lately? Rejoice when You are obedient to God... now fight the devil wiles!

Everyone that is under demonic attack and oppression thinks they are the only one... what a lie... every Christian walking in obedient to Jesus directions is under attack at one time or another...

Here is a very good message and prayer on taking authority as believers against the devils lies and wiles trying to tell you that God does not care for us, does not love us, all all his evil wiles:

Subject: PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU - LIFTING YOUR FAMILIES UP FOR DELIVERANCE...
Name: SHERRY
Date Posted: Aug 12, 07 - 8:58 AM
Message: Jesus gives his authority to his followers. His disciples long ago, and still today, have Christ's authority to be free and to be bless. The following prayer offers a model for us.

In the name of Jesus Christ,
and by the power of His Blood and His Cross
I bind all spirits in the air and the fire,
in the water and the ground,
in the underground and in the netherworld.
I bind all satanic forces in nature.
I bind all curses, hexes and spells,
witchcraft and occult activity.
I bind the interaction and interplay of all spirits.
I claim the protection of the shed Blood of Jesus Christ over... (name persons or places - including your own if needed!)

I now call Michael the Archangel
and his army of angels to surround, fill and protect this place... (name any locations where there is need)
I praise God for all of His heavenly angels.
I call them forth now and release them
to surround and fill us
with God's power and blessings,
in the name of the Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
