"God is for us and not against us! -52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths study 3/18-24

Greetings,

Another important Basic Bible Truth we need to remember in a daily basis is that

*** God is for us and not against us! ***

However, everyday happenings tend to obscure this basic bible truth and the ‘facts’ of life make us wonder sometimes… so let’s obey the Lord and put His truth before our eyes and bind them upon our hearts…

WES: 11:18 Lay up - Let us all observe these three rules, Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. Lay up these words in your hearts, as in a store - house, to be used upon all occasions. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God: Bind them for a sign upon your hand, which is always in view, and as frontlets between your eyes, which you cannot avoid the sight of. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God, especially with our children, who must be taught this, as far more needful than the rules of decency, or the calling they are to live by.

MHC: 11:18-25 Let all be directed by the three rules here given. 1. Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. There will not be good practices in the life, unless there be good thoughts, good affections, and good principles in the heart. 2. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God, having constant regard to it as the guide of our way, as the rule of our work, Ps 119:30. 3. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God. Nor will any thing do more to cause prosperity, and keeping up religion in a nation, than the good education of children.

Here for our encouragement today are scriptures of who God really is and how He feels about each one of us as His obedient children –perhaps slipping and falling sometimes but determine to ask His forgiveness when we do sin once in a while, by “omission” (we do not do what we know we should do, like helping someone with a kind word when they are down or sad, with a bag of groceries to some family in need, a paid meal at a restaurant for an ‘in between homes’ soul, when we find out someone is harming another person, -specially a child, and we do not stop it and we do not bring it up to the proper authority for those abuses to be stopped); and by “commission” (we do what we know we should not do, when we think over and over on how we hate someone or something day in and day out, when we do not forgive someone because of some offense they have done or we think so, when we tell tales about someone else behind their backs –whether it is true or not… and so on and so forth, which include also sins of the flesh and sexual impurities in fact or even by thinking on it…

In both instances the moment we are aware we did ‘messed up’ we should prayerfully go to God by prayer in Jesus Name to ask for forgiveness and help to be able to avoid such instances of falling off from living a life pleasing to Him.

Isaiah 43:26

Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).

(NIV)
Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence

(KJV)
Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

"Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; State your cause, that you may be proved right.

Take Me to court; let us argue our case together. State your [case], so that you may be vindicated.

Let’s think on this scripture in a daily basis and give God thanks from a grateful heart for His love:

Psalm 42:1 (KJV)
As the hart panteth ( a continuous state of never stopping the action of strongly longing for the Lord) after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
