Study on Habakkuk prayer set to wild, enthusiastic, and triumphal music -52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths study for April 15-21

Greetings,

Many times to learn by experience makes a Basic Bible Truth to come imprinted in your soul! Amen!

So I want to share what I am learning, really re-learning, these past weeks based on HABAKKUK 3:19: "Study on Habakkuk prayer set to wild, enthusiastic, and triumphal music" 52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truth for April 15-21 - please prayerfully read on:

Habakkuk 3:19 The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds' feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! For the Chief Musician; with my stringed instruments.

Well, pause and think about what verse 19 is telling us… then pause and think to whom instructions are given to musically play the verse!

Now, let me bring up these verses that are recorded prior to this one in Habakkuk 3:1, 17-18:

1 A PRAYER of Habakkuk the prophet, set to wild, enthusiastic, and triumphal music.
Would you have prayed while making wild, ENTHUSIASTIC, and triumphal music?

We do not find that often in the Prophets… well, yes, we find that in the Psalms, of course, and we sing the Psalms of course, like:

Psalm 150

1 PRAISE THE Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the heavens of His power!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness!
3 Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp!
4 Praise Him with tambourine and [single or group] dance; praise Him with stringed and wind instruments or flutes!
5 Praise Him with resounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

but… a prophet given by God a ‘look forward’ a prophetic view of impending ‘bad news’ for disobedience and sinful conduct of the people… to the coming ‘chastisement’ of God’s people at the hands of cruel and ruthless conquerors…

I thank God that Habakkuk knew who His God is! I thank God that Habakkuk knew how to come under God’s umbrella of protection and peace at any time, and every time when he says in Habakkuk 3:17-18:

17 Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,

18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation!

This is not easy, not easy at all! Does not make sense to our common sense, does not make sense to our mind, does not make sense to our thinking, does not make sense to anyone that will hear and read it… unless, by the Spirit of the Living God our spirits are ‘in tune’ and we do know who our God is. Amen!

So, pause and think and meditate on this Basic Bible Truth study of the week of April 15-21. Amen!
