As I had been ‘Faith-challenged’ lately, I started meditating on what is Faith and what the Word of God teaches on what kind of faith for us to daily act on, believe for and confess –out loud so we can hear His words of Faith as we speak them and hear our own voices speaking them, which will increase our Faith in our analytical mind that must have a point of reference to ‘believe’ and also for the ‘spirit world’ to hear that we are ‘taking side’ so to speak with God – that way we bring God’s Word to His remembrance and remind the devil of his failure and future and our ‘more than a conqueror in this present age’ status and future position in Glory…

The ABC's of Faith by Dr. Larry Ollison, Ph.D.
A = Act on the Word
B = Believe the Word
C = Confess the Word
Hebrews 11:6 tells us that faith is required in order for us to please God. But over the years I have discovered that many people don’t know what faith really is. Some tend to think that faith is just believing God. But it is so much more than that.
In order to have faith, we must first hear the Word because we know Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing. But once the Word has been heard, we must decide that we believe the Word we have heard. Once that decision has been made in the realm of our consciousness, then we must make another decision to speak or confess what we believe.
The Bible says to meditate on God's Word. But meditate doesn’t mean to think about God's Word only. It means to let God's Word quietly roll over our lips. Each time we meditate on God's Word, His Word becomes stronger and heavier within us until it finally drops from our consciousness into our heart. Then with the Word in our heart, we continue to confess only now our confession has supernatural power.
Jesus said in Mark 11:23 that when we speak, we must believe in our heart and not doubt and believe that what we say will come to pass, then we will have what we say. If we truly believe in our heart that those things we say will come to pass, then two things will happen. First, our confessions will become heart confessions instead of head confessions and secondly, our actions will automatically follow our heart. Then as we hear, believe, confess, and act on God's Word, the result will be we are acting in faith and what we say will come to pass.
So, whenever I speak to a mountain and it doesn’t move, I remind myself to go back to the ABCs. Am I acting, believing, and confessing God’s Word? That’s where I usually find my answer.

"THE ROOT CAUSE" 52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths study April 1-7
Greetings,
The study for this week April 1-7 is: “THE ROOT CAUSE OF SIN IS OUR WILLFUL REBELLION - NOT THAT WE HAVE TWO NATURES, AND NOT THAT ‘GOD MADE ME LIKE THIS’ -
The key Scripture is 1 Samuel 15:23: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
The New American Standard translates: For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
And insubordination [stubbornness, doing what you want to do, not what you are told by God to do] is as iniquity and idolatry
And the Amplified version expands on by adding that ‘stubbornness’ is as idolatry and teraphim (household good luck images [charms, amulets])… looking meaning of charms, amulets and good luck home images I found this item:
An amulet (from Latin amuletum; earliest extant use in Natural History [Pliny], meaning "an object that protects a person from trouble") or a talisman (from Arabic tilasm, ultimately from Greek telesma or from the Greek word "talein" which means "to initiate into the mysteries.") consists of any object intended to bring good luck and/or protection to its owner. Potential amulets include: gems or simple stones, statues, coins, drawings, pendants, rings, plants, animals, etc.; even words said in certain occasions— wow!...
Because of King Saul rejecting God’s Word, God rejected Saul from been King over the Nation of Israel.
Rebellion (when self-will usurp the place of God in our lives) is one of the reasons believers need to be sanctified. When outward sins are forgiven the carnal self-life still exists in believers. Believers love God, but because the affections of their heart is divided, there is rebellion, until they love God with their whole heart.
Many love God, yet not completely. For this reason, many struggle to live above sin.
They want to live for God, but on their terms. This rebellion is why they originally sinned against God. God brings every thing that is in competition with Him to our minds, and what we do with it determines our loyalty. Loyalty is based on love. Jesus said, “For where your treasure is there will your heart be also.” (Matt. 6:21)
Jesus adds in Matthew 6:24"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise and be against the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (deceitful riches, money, power, possessions, family name/pedigree, social position, or whatever is trusted in).
It’s rather ironic, because we believers really do love God and want to serve Him. Yet, our carnal self-interest hinders a total consecration to God. Paul said “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Rom. 12:1) This is loving God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds and wills. (Mat. 22:37). This enables every person to will one will.
As every sinner must decide to:
repent ( to change your mind, your emotion from what you are doing and go the opposite way… in this case from ‘doing your own thing’ to following God’s direction for a better life )
to have peace with God (‘peace’ is the English word translated from the Hebrew word Shalom: Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord. Shalom comes from the root verb Shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid.)
and be saved ( To rescue from harm, danger, or loss. To set free from the consequences of sin; redeem. To keep in a safe condition; safeguard. To prevent the waste or loss of; conserve. ),
every believer must decide to consecrate their all to God (To declare or set apart )
and be sanctified (To set apart for God’s use ).
Peace with God continues only through obedience, for there can never be peace while one is resisting God. Peace and comfort are found only in simple obedience… perhaps, not easy, but simple…
Those of us desiring to be a Christian while disobeying the Holy Spirit willfully resist God’s grace ( Divine love and protection bestowed freely on people. The state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God )
While on rebellion, a Christian simultaneous to this rebellion comes an awareness of having grieved God… and emotionally feeling out of fellowship with God…
Those having these ambivalent feelings find it difficult to have victory. For trying to live for Christ without total obedience, is like a fish trying to live outside of water. How long will it live? Who knows? But ultimately we know that will happen if it doesn’t have water.
Every moment of every day sanctified believers make a conscious decision to obey Christ by walking in the light. Christians who walk in the light have peace with God, and there are no unhappy obedient Christians! Amen.

Upsetting the Religious Mindset -52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths study 3/25-31

Here is “52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths” study for March 25 to 31, 2007 - an email reprinted with permission and prayerfully send – you will see also I have added my own comments in between these brackets { } Thank you!
*** Upsetting the Religious Mindset by Dr. Larry Ollison
In Acts chapter 3, Peter and John went to the temple to pray. As they went through the gate to the temple, there was a man who had been crippled from birth and had been taken daily to the gate of the temple to beg for money.
When Peter and John were about to enter the temple, the crippled man began to beg. At that point the Bible says that Peter fixed a gaze on him and said, “Look at us.”
The beggar gave them his attention. He was expecting to get some money. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Peter took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were healed. The man started walking, leaping, and praising God and he leaped, praised, and walked right into the temple.
The people and the religious leaders in the temple were astonished at what had happened.
They recognized the beggar and knew this was a miracle that had happened.
It could not be denied.
Needless to say, the beggar wouldn’t let go of Peter and John, so as Peter and John stood in the porch of the temple with the beggar holding tightly on to both of them, they began to preach about Jesus.
In verse 16 they said, “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
Then in Acts, chapter 4, while Peter and John were still speaking to the people about the good news of Jesus, the captain of the temple and the Sadducees approached them.
They were greatly disturbed.
They grabbed John and Peter and physically took them to a holding cell until the next day. When the next day came, the rulers, elders, scribes and many of the high ranking priests and family members who were gathered in Jerusalem questioned Peter and John.
They asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, preached to the religious leaders. Peter told them that the name of Jesus was the name that had healed the lame man. He told them that only through the name of Jesus can anyone be saved. They were amazed at his boldness. They marveled at his speech and realized that Peter and John had been with Jesus.
{THAT WAS UPSETTING TO THEIR RELIGIOUS MINDSET AND THIS THEIR REACTION}
After Peter’s speech, the leaders met and made a decision. They commanded Peter and John to quit teaching about Jesus and to never speak His name again.
When Peter and John heard this they said, “You decide whether God wants us to obey you instead of Him! We cannot stop telling about the wonderful things we saw Jesus do and heard Him say.” Even though the religious leaders had threatened Peter and John, they had to let them go. They didn’t want a riot.
So, what’s the point?
Well, when you truly believe and act in faith, you will see miracles.
But in so doing, you’ll upset the religious mindset.
That sounds like Jesus, doesn’t it?

*** Upsetting the Religious Mindset by Dr. Larry Ollison
In Acts chapter 3, Peter and John went to the temple to pray. As they went through the gate to the temple, there was a man who had been crippled from birth and had been taken daily to the gate of the temple to beg for money.
When Peter and John were about to enter the temple, the crippled man began to beg. At that point the Bible says that Peter fixed a gaze on him and said, “Look at us.”
The beggar gave them his attention. He was expecting to get some money. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Peter took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were healed. The man started walking, leaping, and praising God and he leaped, praised, and walked right into the temple.
The people and the religious leaders in the temple were astonished at what had happened.
They recognized the beggar and knew this was a miracle that had happened.
It could not be denied.
Needless to say, the beggar wouldn’t let go of Peter and John, so as Peter and John stood in the porch of the temple with the beggar holding tightly on to both of them, they began to preach about Jesus.
In verse 16 they said, “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
Then in Acts, chapter 4, while Peter and John were still speaking to the people about the good news of Jesus, the captain of the temple and the Sadducees approached them.
They were greatly disturbed.
They grabbed John and Peter and physically took them to a holding cell until the next day. When the next day came, the rulers, elders, scribes and many of the high ranking priests and family members who were gathered in Jerusalem questioned Peter and John.
They asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?”
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, preached to the religious leaders. Peter told them that the name of Jesus was the name that had healed the lame man. He told them that only through the name of Jesus can anyone be saved. They were amazed at his boldness. They marveled at his speech and realized that Peter and John had been with Jesus.
{THAT WAS UPSETTING TO THEIR RELIGIOUS MINDSET AND THIS THEIR REACTION}
After Peter’s speech, the leaders met and made a decision. They commanded Peter and John to quit teaching about Jesus and to never speak His name again.
When Peter and John heard this they said, “You decide whether God wants us to obey you instead of Him! We cannot stop telling about the wonderful things we saw Jesus do and heard Him say.” Even though the religious leaders had threatened Peter and John, they had to let them go. They didn’t want a riot.
So, what’s the point?
Well, when you truly believe and act in faith, you will see miracles.
But in so doing, you’ll upset the religious mindset.
That sounds like Jesus, doesn’t it?

"God is for us and not against us! -52 in 2007 Basic Bible Truths study 3/18-24
Greetings,
Another important Basic Bible Truth we need to remember in a daily basis is that
*** God is for us and not against us! ***
However, everyday happenings tend to obscure this basic bible truth and the ‘facts’ of life make us wonder sometimes… so let’s obey the Lord and put His truth before our eyes and bind them upon our hearts…
We can find and read these versions of Deuteronomy 11:18 as key verse in the link at: http://bible.cc/deuteronomy/11-18.htm
WES: 11:18 Lay up - Let us all observe these three rules, Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. Lay up these words in your hearts, as in a store - house, to be used upon all occasions. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God: Bind them for a sign upon your hand, which is always in view, and as frontlets between your eyes, which you cannot avoid the sight of. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God, especially with our children, who must be taught this, as far more needful than the rules of decency, or the calling they are to live by.
MHC: 11:18-25 Let all be directed by the three rules here given. 1. Let our hearts be filled with the word of God. There will not be good practices in the life, unless there be good thoughts, good affections, and good principles in the heart. 2. Let our eyes be fixed upon the word of God, having constant regard to it as the guide of our way, as the rule of our work, Ps 119:30. 3. Let our tongues be employed about the word of God. Nor will any thing do more to cause prosperity, and keeping up religion in a nation, than the good education of children.

Here for our encouragement today are scriptures of who God really is and how He feels about each one of us as His obedient children –perhaps slipping and falling sometimes but determine to ask His forgiveness when we do sin once in a while, by “omission” (we do not do what we know we should do, like helping someone with a kind word when they are down or sad, with a bag of groceries to some family in need, a paid meal at a restaurant for an ‘in between homes’ soul, when we find out someone is harming another person, -specially a child, and we do not stop it and we do not bring it up to the proper authority for those abuses to be stopped); and by “commission” (we do what we know we should not do, when we think over and over on how we hate someone or something day in and day out, when we do not forgive someone because of some offense they have done or we think so, when we tell tales about someone else behind their backs –whether it is true or not… and so on and so forth, which include also sins of the flesh and sexual impurities in fact or even by thinking on it…
In both instances the moment we are aware we did ‘messed up’ we should prayerfully go to God by prayer in Jesus Name to ask for forgiveness and help to be able to avoid such instances of falling off from living a life pleasing to Him.

Put Me in remembrance [remind Me of your merits]; let us plead and argue together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified (proved right).

Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence

Why another Oprah spiritual recommendation: "The Secret" is NOT the Real Deal!... Have you read on Oprah's book recommendation of "The Secret"?... the article today reads: * "The Secret": Is It the Real Deal? * and you can read it at: http://health.aol.com/ -which is AOL 'health' link...
This is not a new concept at all, it is the old 'positive thinking' with a new slant and a great guru pushing it... positive thinking is the technique and way to "awakening the wisdom and power within you" which makes it very appealing to everyone since it does not call for a Christian born-again experience as a way for God's blessings to flow into our lives but for our minds to 'mastermind' our destiny... which makes it such a dangerous thing... since without God we are nothing and totally lost, can 'nothing' create any good thing?
... this is the teaching of Yoga, here is headline from one site: "Learn the True Essence of Authentic Yoga- Connect within Your Mind to the Most Powerful Achievement Source of Natural Order - Make Anything Possible and Get Whatever You Desire Out Of Life!- Lost over 3000 years ago - With The Power of True Yoga You Can Be-The-Cause of Anything That You Want!"... this is used by many Gyms and exercise groups in community and clubs associations, and is even used in Churches today as something helpful...
... and in business we have Napoleon Hill and his teaching on "Think and Grow Rich" and "The Science of Personal Achievement. Here is what is said about Napoleon Hill: "Napoleon Hill is considered to have influenced more people into success than any other person in history. Born in a one-room cabin, he began his career as a journalist. His big break came when he was asked to interview steel-magnate Andrew Carnegie, who was so impressed with the young reporter that he convinced Hill to research and organize the world's first philosophy of individual achievement. The project took 20 years to complete. Hill wrote several best-selling books on the subject. Napoleon Hill's "Think And Grow Rich" is one of Nightingale-Conant's best-selling programs of all time still on sale and used today.
... there had been the same teaching with a robe of Christianity years ago through the teachings of Dr. Vincent Peale - here is article describing it - 'Peale applied Christianity to everyday problems and is the person who is most responsible for bringing psychology into the professing Church, blending its principles into a message of "positive thinking." Peale said, "through prayer you ... make use of the great factor within yourself, the deep subconscious mind ... [which Jesus called] the kingdom of God within you ... Positive thinking is just another term for faith." He also wrote, "Your unconscious mind ... [has a] power that turns wishes into realities when the wishes are strong enough."
So, readers and listeners of Oprah and others telling us that "The Secret" is a good thing to follow - Beware and be aware! Let's concentrate on the Word of God as guidance and on Jesus Salvation as our 'more than enough' provider.
A good scripture to read and memorize and meditate in daily is Ephesians 3:20 - "Now glory be to God who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of-- infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes."
